Undergraduate Geology student Jake Hooker helped Dr. Bywater-Reyes install a water-quality monitoring system on the Cache la Poudre River. The sensor measures turbidity, a measure of water clarity that is correlated to sediment concentration. Jake completed undergraduate research as part of his degree program, learning technical field skills as well as data analysis skills.
