Students Alexis Richmond and Curtis Crawford finished their field data collection on their independent research project at the . They are characterizing the geomorphology and sediment regime toward a larger project that studies the geomorphology and water quality on the Cache la Poudre River. Alexis and Curtis would have presented at the NHS Student xxxÖ±²¥ Celebration that was recently canceled because of safety concerns over Covid-19. Funding for their research has come from the and the UNC xxxÖ±²¥, Dissemination and Faculty Development Program awarded to their research mentor, Dr. Sharon Bywater-Reyes.
